Lake Jewel

The dynamics of this particular client, a family of self-described introverts, was a significant factor in how spaces were designed and detailed. It was important to them to have wide open spaces with good views connecting them to both the lake side and the large yard towards the road, but also to have many get-away opportunities for individuals to be alone with their solitary activities (books, computers, etc.) This image shows how it is possible to be working in the kitchen and still feel a sense of connection to the lake through the broad expanse of windows in the living room.
