The Perch
This second story space acts as a "perch" from which mom and dad can easily keep watch over their extensive property. Three of the four corners of this upper level are part of the master bedroom suite which includes not only the bedroom and bathroom, but also dad's office and a small sitting room that doubles as a quiet place for mom and dad, and, when needed, space for a child that needs to be kept close for some reason. Because each of these three corner spaces has windows on both sides, it is possible to see outside in all directions from within the suite.
