Lake Jewel

Although the lake is always an important piece of being at "the lake," it's usually not the only draw. This property was no exception - beautiful 100+ year old pines dominate the site, and the old (and tiny and cramped and poorly organized) existing cabin was snuggled right up to those trees, with one tree trunk so close it rubbed the gutter! The decision was made to tear down the old cabin and start from scratch, and through careful siting and consultation with a tree specialist, we were able to nestle this jewel right back amongst the trees that so define this particular version of being "at the lake."
